Information about
Ryten & Kvalvika Beach
Here you’ll find all the essential information about the hike to Ryten and Kvalvika Beach — including route options, duration, difficulty level, national park guidelines, and practical tips to help you prepare for a safe and memorable experience.
The Ryten & Kvalvika hike starts directly from Ryten & Kvalvika Farm and leads you into the protected landscape of Lofotodden National Park.
This classic Lofoten route takes you up to Ryten, offering breathtaking views straight down to Kvalvika Beach — and for those who wish, the hike continues all the way down to the beach itself.
New Sherpa stone steps (completed summer 2025) now make parts of the ascent safer and more sustainable, helping protect the fragile terrain while improving the hiking experience.
